Producers and directors are in charge of all aspects of the production of any form of visual entertainment. They are also in charge of overlooking all of the creative decisions such as interpreting the scrip, choosing the actors of guest, designing a set, sound and special effects.
The producers and directors have to work with the production team to make sure that the project is being done in the way that they interpreted. This includes getting together with the editors and describing their views of the edits and adjusting as needed.
Although this might all sound easy it is not because of all of the decisions that they have to do and making sure that everybody is doing their jobs correctly, this might mean that they have a specific team that they are most comfortable with.
