From March 8 to 14, 2026, Free-rando tour between Montgenèvre and Sestriere
4 to 6 participants per guide,
GREAT SKIING IN MONTGENÈVRE - SESTRIERE - Briançonnais Piedmont - France, Italy
This off-piste free-rando trip takes place in the immense Franco-Italian alpine ski area known as the Milky Way, which stretches from the Col du Mongenèvre to the Ghisone Valley via the upper Susa Valley. Internationally renowned, it connects Montgenèvre, Claviere, Cesana-Torines, San Sicario, Le Sauze d'Oulx, Sestriere, and Pragelato, offering a vast off-piste area for all levels. This is where the 2006 Winter Olympics took place. The 400 km of slopes are pristine. They provide access to a varied off-piste area, in the forest (larches) for snowy days, or cleared at altitude for sunny days. In this universe, it is possible to evolve like an itinerant trip from three different base camps (including a welcoming and comfortable Italian refuge). Great skiing allowing remarkable vertical drops, in the luminous landscapes of the southern Alps.
From April 12 to 18, 2026, Ski touring in the Val da Campo, on the border between Italy, Switzerland and Graubünden, Lombardy.
VAL DA CAMPO, THE SMUGGLERS' VALLEY
Switzerland/Graubünden – Italy/Lombardy, Poschiavo – Upper Valtellina
The Val da Campo is a side valley of the Poschiavo Valley, south of the Bernina Pass. It is surrounded by the Italian territory of the Upper Valtellina on three sides, with only the access road from Sfazù being Swiss. Smugglers have long traveled through the Val da Campo between Switzerland and Italy. It is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque valleys in Graubünden. It is also a mecca for ski touring. By using two mountain huts, one on the Swiss side and the other on the Italian side, it is possible to create beautiful and original combinations of routes. The mountain huts are well-located and comfortable. These mountains are steep but ideal for skiing. A few small glaciers are still nestled in the northern slopes, and the peaks are often reached with crampons following easy ridges. Another beautiful corner of the Alpine arc that seems interesting to discover. A splendid raid in wild mountains.
