I am a theoretical physicist interested in the description of biological processes. The functioning of a cell requires the coordinated motion and positioning of various actors among which biopolymers (e.g., RNA & DNA), proteins and molecular motors. Their interactions - and subsequent reaction and motion - can be described with a physical approach. My current projects include: (i) the bacterial DNA organization and segregation; (ii) the translation of messenger RNA by ribosomes in human cells; (iii) the spatial organization of chromosomes and epigenetic regulation in Drosophila via polycomb domains; (iv) the bacterial flagella motion of E. coli through the recruitment of molecular motors.
