Connecting Louisiana Through People, Stories, and Projects
Je Suis Prest is a long-term cultural and historical initiative designed to reclaim, document, and celebrate the diverse heritage of Louisiana. Through a structured quarterly magazine published both in print and digital form, this project will present meticulously researched histories, personal narratives, language preservation efforts, folklore, photography, cuisine, ecology, and traditions of Louisiana’s communities.
The publication will serve as a living archive and storytelling platform, uniting historians, writers, photographers, linguists, and residents to restore dignity and awareness to voices and legacies long marginalized or erased. Each issue will feature a consistent structure and tone, centered around a unique theme connected to a specific region, era, or cultural thread.
Our mission is grounded in three simple but powerful commitments:
To Remember lost and silenced histories.
To Restore authenticity and honor to Louisiana’s people and lands.
To Reveal the full truth of its cultural evolution.
Be a founding member of one of the most ambitious initiatives to connect and educate Louisiana through various forms of visual and written media.
Look at the blueprints, learn the comprehensive details and big picture plan, invest in Louisiana's present and future.
