There are three aspects of the project that will unfold in order.
Physical Publication, Digital Media Platform, and Short Films & Courses.
The First and primary focus is the physical magazine, which will read like a journal, have more content variety than a newspaper, and feel more aesthetic than your average coffee-table book.
Contributions will come from residents all across Louisiana, old and young, students, researchers, small business owners, professors, and the simple working class of Louisiana.
The goal is to give voice back to the people who live and breathe in Louisiana, and to weave together a comprehensive image of our beautiful state and the people who have lived here as far back as 500 years.
The start-up costs for this publication are $150k.
Estimated 3500 hours for putting together the first two publications, including driving, networking, interviewing, writing, reviewing, editing, and refining.
Mass printing cost is estimated at $5 per copy plus shipping. The first 1500 prints (750 from each of the first two publications) will be gifted to investors, contributors, and select Louisiana local libraries & small Louisiana local coffee shops.
