In my role as an instructional coach, I work with teachers and leaders to help them effectively implement instruction in their classrooms and in their leadership opportunities. As a coach, I help teachers and leaders reflect on their practices and determine the impact that their professional moves have on learning and classroom environments. Through comprehensive coaching cycles, I work to make sure that teachers and leaders own their professional moves, and have time and space to reflect to impact more sustainable change in practice. Coaching cycles can include both in-person and video coaching, formal coaching cycles, planning and reflecting on practices as well as analyzing student products to impact teaching practices. As an EL Education coach, I support teachers in implementing the EL Education curriculum to help bridge their existing professional dispositions with the EL Education's research-based knowledge building curriculum. I help support teachers through coaching cycles to have them reflect on how these two domains intersect.
