Introduction

There are legends of powerful technology in ancient India — technology the like of which we have today. Modern technology has changed the world, and has created an entirely different society from even a hundred years ago. Yet, many people today believe that ancient civilizations had access to technology on par with our own. This belief stems from Ancient Astronaut Theory. Ancient Astronaut Theory is a pseudo-scientific theory that intelligent extraterrestrials visited earth in antiquity, and contributed to the development of the ancient world. This hypothetical contribution resulted in the development of religions, technology, and even our biological makeup.

Based on this theory, many speculate that Gods and Goddesses from all cultures were actually extraterrestrial beings. The Hindu Gods are all-powerful beings said to have superhuman powers and technology. The technology developed by the Gods is what my storybook covers.

The Vimana was created by the God Vishwakarman. It was stolen by Ravana. The Vimana is said to have been a "flying palace," as bright as the sun and that moved like a cloud in the sky. Was it, in actuality, an alien spaceship? Many ancient astronaut theorists speculate that the Vimana was indeed a spaceship. In fact, many Indian languages translate "vimana" as "aircraft" or "flight."

Did ancient Indians have nuclear technology? Mohenjo Daro was an ancient Indian city said to have been one of the largest settlements of the Indus Valley Civilization. The city is said to have been abandoned around 1900 BCE. Many speculate that this city, and others like it, was the site of an ancient nuclear blast. What took place there, and what remains of the nuclear waste? Is Shiva, the God of Destruction responsible? It's said that Shiva "The Destroyer" had power like that of a nuclear explosion. Was Shiva not really a god, but an explanation the ancients used to understand nuclear explosions? Or was he a very powerful alien being? What are Shiva Lingams, and are they perhaps atomic energy left behind by the Gods? If that's the case, what was the atomic energy used for? Are they the remnants of missiles used by the God Vishnu?

If, indeed, the Gods were extraterrestrial beings with nuclear technology, are the stories of the war of the Gods historical events of an alien war that took place on earth? Were the Astras (weapons) of the Gods weapons of mass destruction? Follow along as we speculate what technology the ancients may have created.
