Emergency Revolving Loan & Grant (Archived)

Purpose of Program

This program was opened from September 8 - October 27. We distributed $1.6 Million in Grants and over $600k in Loans during the program. 

The primary goal of the JDA Emergency Revolving Loan Fund & Grant Fund programs was to offer needed support to qualified small businesses that are located in Athens-Clarke County, Georgia that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency. The fund offered low interest emergency loans from $3,001 to $12,500 and grants from $750 - $14,385 for businesses demonstrated their ongoing commitment and investment into our local community who have suffered a business loss during COVID-19. Businesses who accepted loans were also connected to a larger network of local guidance, mentoring, and other support to help them adapt their business.

We approved loans for 59 business. The average loan was $11,551

Grants

We approved grants for 369 businesses. Grants ranged from $750 - $14,385. The average grant was $4,328.
