PhD in computational spectroscopy | Exoplanets | Science outreach and community engagement

Hi, I'm Juan!

Originally from Colombia, I'm a recent Ph.D. graduate from the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney). I am passionate about using computational spectroscopy and quantum chemistry to study exoplanet atmospheres and address questions in astrochemistry and astrobiology. I also strive to communicate science to the public through outreach activities and dynamic hands-on workshops.

Here you'll find detailed information about my research, outreach activities, and some hobbies. Feel free to have a look!

6 first author and 2 secondary author peer-reviewed publications. No. citations = 75 and h-index = 6 (Google Scholar & ORCiD)
