Each student will present to the members of their group.

Expectations for presenters in each group, should include:

· Standing with good posture

· Speaking loudly and clearly

· Making eye contact with group members

Expectations for the group members and their listening habits, should include:

· Sitting with good posture

· Focused listening

· Making eye contact with the presenter

· Asking follow-up questions

After each student presents, give the group members a few minutes to ask follow-up questions.

Reminder: Our goal in AVID is to help students be prepared for their other classes, as well as for college. A main component of college readiness is being able to write at a high level, so we will be working on this all year.

2. You will be asked to answer questions about work activities that some people do on their jobs. Read each question carefully and decide how you would feel about doing each type of work.
