Extra-Curricular
In my free time I like to play "korfball" (a Dutch sports similar to basketball).
Since 2021 I have been a member of student korfball association "Paal Centraal". Here I joined several committees over the years and a board year in 2024 - 2025.
Board:
2024 - 2025 Treasurer of the board for the student korfball association in Delft.
Committees:
2026 - now PR committee. Public Relations, keeping in contact with current sponsors and attracting new sponsors.
2025 - now Finance committee. Checking the treasurer and making sure association remains financially fit.
2024 - 2026 Sponsor committee. Finding new sponsors and keeping good connections with current ones. Also in charge of association merchandise.
2022 - 2026 Website committee. Maintaining the website and social media for the association.
2024 Vacation committee. Organization of a 1,5 week vacation abroad for a group of about 30 members.
2023 Tournament committee. Organization of the yearly student korfball tournament "Paal Bokaal" in Delft.
Other activities
2025 - now DA literature meetings. Organizing weekly literature meetings about Data Assimilation, aimed at Mathematics and Civil Engineering PhD students working with Data Assimilation.
2024 - 2025 PhD mentor for 1st year PhD students. This consists of a meeting once every two months in which I answer any questions and guide the students with upcoming PhD agreement and Go/No-Go preparations and tips.
