This cottage and property is phenomenon!!! I can't say enough about how beautiful this place is! College is Homie, well built and comfortable, all the amenities of home. The view is spectacular and its extremely private. If you love Nature and want to get away and experience peace and quite this is place and the property. There is a nature reserve behind the property so no other buildings or cottages, which makes it very private and quiet. The beachfront is absolutely amazing!! We found out it's on an ancient coral bed! So awesome!! You will find fossils of shells, plant life of the ancient reef that will take your breath away. We explored the beach, the water on a kayak and took some beautiful walks without having to drive anywhere. Truly a relaxing and peaceful place any time of year. We have also booked in the fall and it is absolutely stunning. We stay longer and feel this is the way to truly relax and take in the surroundings. This place is a treasure! The owners are wonderful, and helpful and it's spotless. There are many beautiful places to go in the world but this one has a special untouched beauty that is a must for those who truly appreciate the natural world. Love it!!! We will be back soon!

We had the most incredible time staying at this cottage this past week! It truly is heaven on earth and we could not have been happier! It's always nerve-wracking not knowing what you are going to get in a rental, and we were so pleasantly surprised! The hosts were so incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive! The cottage was so clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Although the cottage had everything we needed, our favourite was the outside! The multiple sitting areas, the fire pit, the stunning rocks and the breathtaking, relaxing waterfront were so enjoyable! The sunrises were stunning as well! We went on lots of hikes in the area and enjoyed a day at the grotto in Tobermory. We can't wait to return here for another family vacation! If we could give it more than 5 stars we would!!! Thank you Joyce and Bruce!

We have been renting cottages for seven years now, and this is the one we keep coming back to. Well equipped, tastefully furnished, and responsive owners. With the recent upgrades, the kitchen is now more modern than our own. The antique kitchen table is perfect for dinners or card games on a rainy day. The location is great for both heading out (hikes, short trip into Lion's Head or Tobermory) and staying put (trails a short walk away, waterfront access). This year's discovery was the Cape Chin Side Trail just down the road, rated 'easy' which means good for running. It is also handy for art lovers, with several studios nearby and of course the co-op gallery in Ferndale. Highly recommended!

Cliffhanger is a lovely cottage on a beautiful stretch of the peninsula. It was a great base for hiking and swimming, and on the rainy day we had we could still enjoy the view while we baked cookies and worked on our jigsaw puzzle. Joyce and Bruce were quick to answer any questions we had. Hopefully we can return again soon!

Wonderful, well-appointed house on spectacular property with amazing view. Sunrise from the master bedroom was a lovely bonus. Many nice personal touches that add to its character. Great kitchen to cook in. AC appreciated in these changing summers. Great mattresses for sleeping. Clean, clear water for swimming and perfect for kayaking. The waterfront is rugged with steps down to rock front. Hiking & running all steps away with provincial parks down the road. Lots of activities in the area. Lions Head 20min away for provisions! Great place to read - or write - a book. We will be back again to visit the hummingbirds that frequent the back yard & bon fire pit area.

This cliffhanger is our home away from home. Whether you're looking for fun, comfort, or tranquility, it provides them all!

The water is crystal clear and my son had lots fun riding his inflatable pirate ship at the private beach! There are great hiking trails nearby. At night time, we enjoyed sitting around campfire, making s'mores, laughing and singing. The cottage is comfy and well equipped. Lots sunshine through large glass windows all around the house. Nice deck to see sunrise, sunset, and night sky. Open kitchen with full cookware. Cottage-style living room with satellite TV and cozy soft & rocking recliner by La-Z-Boy. Spacious modern country style bathroom which gives you zen after busy activities.

Special thanks to Joyce the owner. She's very warm, kind, and passionate to ensure all her guests have a nice stay in her cottages. Thank you so much Joyce. We will come back again :)

We're a couple from Holland, attending a conference in Toronto every year and stayed for the 3rd time in this cottage.

What a beautiful place! The cottage is very well maintained and can't notice any difference with 4 years ago! Every thing you need is at hand giving us a wonderful time!

We're looking forward to our stay in 2018, God willing!

We're definitely are coming back!

We loved Cliffhanger cottage with its rugged landscape and wonderful privacy. The open concept design lets you enjoy the incredible view even while you are inside. We were up early a few days and watched the sunrise over the water while enjoying our coffee, just magical. The crystal clear water was lovely and we had fun teaching the kids how to skip rocks, as well as one morning spent sitting on a tarp by the water rock painting. The kids were thrilled to feed the resident chipmunk right out of their hands. Joyce was always available to answer any questions we had about the area. We did enjoy the sandy beach in nearby Lion's Head one day, but were so happy to come back to the special tranquility of Cliffhanger. Hope to get back again next summer.

This was our second year staying at Tequila and it really is a hidden gem. Perfectly located between Lions Head and Tobermery. The Log home is exceptionally well maintained and equipped for all of your needs. The waterfront is spectacular, with a gorgeous pebble beach, flagstone patio, chairs, and crystal clear water that made swimming amazing!! (water shoes helpful) You don't want to miss a sunrise, they were the highlight of my stay. Your host- Joyce couldn't be more helpful. If we had a question Joyce would reply to her texts right away. Thanks again Joyce -see you next year.

Lovely well equipped and nicely furnished cottage. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful location. My husband and I with our daughter, son-in-law and 4 year old grandson spent a week here in August. We loved the beach area and just wish we had a kayak to explore the area by water. Our grandson just loved everything about it. The beach although no sand he threw stones in the water constantly and we had stone skipping competitions, built a Inukshuk, played baseball, soccer and other beach ball games on the grounds of the cottage. He just loved feeding the chipmunks who visited on a regular basis, they were lots of fun. A sand beach is only a 15 to 20 minute drive away in Lions Head. Highly recommended. Owner is super helpful.

We had a splendid stay here. The cottage is nicely equipped, pleasant, and warmly furnished. But it's the location and grounds that set this cottage apart! Oh so serene! And the sunrises on the shore! What a beautiful "peace" of God's country!

From the moment we arrived, this cottage felt like home...the kitchen is well-equipped, the views are spectacular, the cottage is clean, and very comfortable. We have rented several cottages over the years, and the mattresses were by far, the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in...we were disappointed with the shore line, but nature had the water levels high this year...the washroom was very clean, and the walk-in shower was especially appreciated. Overall, we really enjoyed our week here...lots to do if that's what you wish, nicely secluded for privacy and morning bike rides down the road....highly recommend this cottage. Joyce was always helpful and patient with our questions...only a text away. Very lovely person to deal with! thanks for helping our family make memories!!

We enjoyed our week. Nice to be able to take our pets. We had a family of six and a baby for part of the week and there was lots of room for us all. With ample room in master for the playpen. Cottage was very clean. Outdoor space is excellent and waterfront is beautiful. Will definitely consider returning.

We stayed here for three nights in May. The view of Georgian Bay from the living room, dining room and outdoor deck was stunning. We spent hours simply relaxing and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The cottage is right on the lake and secluded from other properties, giving a sense of comfort and privacy. Nonetheless, stores and shops in Lion's Head were only 20 minutes away whenever we needed something. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking all meals, including those by the campfire. The bedrooms were a little small, but very comfortable and organized. Overall the place was very clean and pleasant. Additionally, one of the highlights of our stay was watching the sun disappear below the horizon as the magnificent stars took its place in the sky.

We have been to several cottages over the years and this was our favourite yet. View of Georgian Bay from the cottage was amazing. Cottage was clean and well equipped. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking Georgian Bay and listening to the many birds, including loons, was one of our favourite times of the day. Paddling and hiking to Smokey Head without getting in your vehicle was a definite plus. The cottage is screened from other cottages by natural borders so is very private and peaceful. Owner was very helpful leading up to and during our rental - always just a text away. We will be back!

Great spot! More of a home than a cottage. We have been coming here for the last 5 years.

Fully equipped. Waterfront, spectacular view- stone patio at the waters edge. Georgian Bay water is crystal clear.

Short walk to 2 sections of the Bruce Trail, more magnificent vistas from on high.

Close to all necessary stores in Lion's head .

This cottage not to be missed.

We had a wonderful time at this well-maintained and comfortable cottage. The view is spectacular and the landscaping natural, with a lovely deck out front and a cleared area for a perfect fire in the chimenea off to the side of the property. We found the location quiet and a comfortable drive to Tobermory and the astonishing parks on the Bruce Peninsula.

The owner was very helpful with tips on food shopping in the area and wonderful places to visit - and she responded almost instantly to any question.

Three of us went and all agreed the cottage exceeded our expectations inside and out!

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The location is fabulous - close to nice hiking spots. The view from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom was spectacular. We enjoyed the deck and the access to the beach; it felt very private. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking implements that we could ever need. The owner was extremely helpful. Her communication was clear and attentive. We went to celebrate my partner's birthday and could not have chosen a better spot.

This is a lovely cottage in both summer and in fall. Comfortable indoor space and a large, private deck that provides breathtaking views of Georgian Bay. Great hiking on the Bruce Trail with some trails just a brief walk from the cottage. Others are a short drive away. Rocky beach with crystal clear water. Wonderful spot for a float on an inner tube on a brilliant sunny day.

This cottage is wonderful for so many reasons. We have stayed here for 8 summers now. We are drawn back to this beautiful area on the Bruce. Waking up hearing the waves of Georgian bay roll in is fantastic. There is so much to do in the area for nature lovers with immediate access to the Bruce Trails, local in-land lakes and streams for fishing and lots of side roads that lead to unspoiled villages and towns.

The cottage is within 35 min of Tobermory, where one can tour the sunken ships via glass bottom boats, visit the spectacular flower pot rock formations or just walk around the beautiful harbor.

The cottage itself is spacious and lovely. I guess the best testament to this spot is our continued return each year, first for one week...then for two...this year for 3!!
