Process

  • This years project was funded by a grant from the F.A.S.T. organization.
  • After the initial research, students began to establish goals. The goals can be seen here.
  • Students were assigned to teams to work towards our goals. A brief description of each teams responsibilities, along with comments from the team members can be found here.
  • Students decided on what materials to order. A list of the materials that were used can be found here.
  • The materials were ordered and the students designed and built the payloads.
  • Mr. Brode filed a notice to airmen. (NOTAM)
  • Mr. Brode contacted the FAA prior to the launch.
  • Students launched the balloon. A video of the launch can be viewed here.
  • Students analyzed the data. Some of the analysis can be seen here.
  • Students wrote a summary of their experiences in the project.
