New ideas and technologies changed the way people lived in many beneficial ways .New ideas such as the assembly lines helped companies and industries make more products, more efficiently it also helped make prices cheaper because factories were able to mass produce products which was very helpful. Also electricity made life more better for millions of Americans ,it became a cheaper source of power and also help create many household appliances and products such as phones ,microwave ,etc. But because of all these new ideas tension grew bigger over the time many people were in need of jobs so they would be able to afford all these new technologies which made crimes in the U.S grow over time, many people joined gangs and etc.
