My Bachelor's degree in English at Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University was a transformative journey that shaped my literary understanding, analytical thinking, and communication skills. Looking back, I see it as a period of immense intellectual growth, where I delved into the depths of literature, drama, poetry, and critical theory.

The Foundation: Learning the Roots of Literature

The core of my undergraduate study was built upon The History of English Literature. Learning about the evolution of literature from the Old English period to the modern era gave me a solid foundation. It was fascinating to see how literature reflected historical, cultural, and philosophical shifts over centuries. Studying Chaucer, Shakespeare, Milton, and Victorian literature was both challenging and rewarding.

Drama, Poetry, and the Power of Words

One of the most enriching experiences was studying drama and poetry. King Lear by William Shakespeare was a masterpiece that left a profound impact on my perception of tragedy and human flaws. The poetry syllabus, ranging from classical to modern, helped me appreciate the nuances of poetic expression.
