2026 NTU Formula Student Electrical Team
Project Overview
Joining the NTU Nanyang Venture Formula team as a junior engineer in the Low Voltage Subsystem marked a significant turning point in my engineering development. This role represented a deliberate transition from independent, hobby-level tinkering to collaborating within a highly structured, professional technical team to develop a complex electric race car.
Welding Mounting Brackets
While digital design and simulation are critical to the vehicle's development, bridging the gap between CAD environments and track-ready hardware required extensive hands-on fabrication. My involvement extended beyond the Low Voltage Subsystem into the physical construction of the vehicle, where I developed practical manufacturing skills across composite materials, structural welding, and high-voltage systems.
Laying Carbon Fiber
Tracing out the floor plate to be cut
Wiring an electrical enclosure
Test fitting the seat position
Designing Custom PCBs with Altium
Testing the Functionalities of my PCB
