3D Printed Camera Lens

Project Overview 

To bridge the gap between analog aesthetics and digital convenience, I undertook a project to salvage a plastic lens from a Fujifilm disposable camera and retrofit it onto a digital camera body. This required extracting the optical element and designing a custom, light-tight adapter to properly interface with the digital camera's specific mount system. 

The core challenge of this project was reverse engineering both the salvaged lens housing and the digital camera's mounting flange. Using digital calipers, I took precise measurements of the lens diameter and the locking mechanism of the camera body.
