Jay, what are you doing??
That's a fair question.
Life was already busy; plenty was going on to fill my day.
So, then, why jump into the Sherwood Mayor race?
Because I was tired of side streets being a little beat up, I was tired of our parks not being utilized enough, I was tired of people saying "oh it would be nice if Sherwood had...". I was tired of the city being a one-way communicator. I kept coming back to the same thoughts:
"Someone ought to do something." OR "Why are things being done THAT way?"
I realized maybe that someone should be me.
Not because I have all the answers already. I don't. But the experiences I've had along the way feel like they've led me to here and now. I want city government to listen to its residents, and I can do that. In my days, I've been able to bring people together. I'm tired of Sherwood being the forgotten city in Central Arkansas.
Sherwood has given a lot to many of us. I'd like the chance to be able to give something back. Sherwood just isn't where I live. It's home.
