Assistance Adjusting to Civilian Life: Many of our service members are not properly prepared to transition into civilian life. We have many experts and services to make that process smoother and much easier.
Work Skills Training: Many military careers do not fully translate into civilian life. However, there are many companies that require many of the skills learned while serving in the military. We assist our veterans in ensuring we match them with employment that can utilize their skills while assisting them in developing new skills that are in high demand in today's work force environment.
Employment Assistance: Many of our partners are dedicated to proving employment opportunities for our returning veterans. Our protocols ensure our partners communicate with us when their companies' have a need for a trustworthy, dedicated, and hard working employee who can deliver under stress. Many of our employers have access to a database of possible applicants that have gone through our employment application process.
Home Made Meal Delivery for Disabled Veterans: The Home Made Meal Delivery for Disabled Veterans (HM2D2V) program identifies and facilitates for veterans that may be unable to leave their residence. We provide consistently delivered meals to their home.
Meals for Homeless Veterans: The Meals for Homeless Veterans (MHV) program is a twice a month program hosted at an affiliated facility where our volunteers prepare, serve, and provide a caring attitude to our homeless veterans.
Pantry Services: Upholding our military tradition, our foundation is constantly preparing for the future. We stock up on non-perishable goods that may be distributed in dire circumstances. We understand that individual and families may undergo a financial crisis, issues, or fall short on funds to purchase groceries. Our pantry is here to serve those individuals and families during difficult times.
Donations: We accept any item that may be of use to a veteran or homeless person. The item must be in good working order, clean, and ready to be donated to a person in need. No item is too small or big! For any donations valued at above USD $500.00 a Donation Receipt will be provided upon request.
Season Appropriate Clothes: Many homeless individuals are exposed to the harshness of the weather on regular basis. We can alleviate their living conditions by providing warm clothing items for the cold months and lighter clothing items for the hot months. As you all may know, socks are the number one item most requested.
No Cost Funeral Services for Destitute Veterans: In partnership with several counties we have pledged to assume responsibility for the care, management, and disposal of unclaimed veterans remains. We notify as many of our members as possible and attempt to learn as much about the deceased veteran in order to provide a dignifying burial service.
Currently, several dogs have been secured, mostly from local animal shelters, and are being trained to become Certified Therapy Dogs through the American Kennel Association. The intend is for them to visit wounded or ill veterans at participating facilities, and assist those with emotional or mental issues. Our leading K-9 is a 5 year old Siberian Husky with a heart of gold. He was named R.E.D--an acronym that stands for Remember Everyone Deployed-to honor those who are deployed protecting our way of life. All of our staff at the foundation wear red t-shirts and our K-9 dogs wear red collars every Friday to show support and educate others about the importance of appreciating the sacrifices our military, police, and first responders make for all of us.
