Our name originates from both our Christian and military backgrounds. The Jay Is a colorful bird of the crow family, commonly referred to as the Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius). The name Jay particularly Indicates joyfulness or happiness. The crow in the bible is a symbol of death, particularly of Christ on the Cross.
We honor the Joy of the Death of our LORD on the Cross for the atonement of our sins.
Our foundation was created to provide much needed services for those who sacrificed much for our liberties, our veterans! Many of whom are destitute, In need of assistance to reassimilate, or bottomline homeless. Various generations of members have seen the horrors of war & conflict, lost loved ones, or bled for our nation personally. Our dream to create a foundation to give back to our veterans has been in the works since our mentors joined the struggle to free the world of tyranny in the European theater during WWII, liberating France, Belgium, and later Austria.
A generation later, our tradition extended into the jungles of Vietnam and the many struggles our servicemen suffered during that conflict. The original surviving members' children participated in this conflict with honor and distinction. Yet, upon their return, they encountered an increasingly hostile home front. This is by far the largest sector of our veterans who have succumb to alcohol and drug abuse, rendering them unable to fend for themselves. Many of them have become homeless.
The third generation of our foundation founders have participated in current conflicts. The challenging nature of these conflicts have changed the dynamics of issues our veterans deal with, thus forcing us to mold our services to meet those needs. We are fully aware of the mass suicide epidemic our veterans are suffering and yet not many services are made available to these veterans and their families.
The Jay Kröw 48 Foundation strives to assist military members separating from service and their families to assimilate successfully into civilian life. Visit Our Services page to learn all aspects of our promise to our veterans.
