In 2020, I began my journey into creating images of graffiti within the Austin area on Kodak Gold color film. Graffiti has always had a strong draw for me, combining subculture, class dynamics, public art, and its ephemeral nature. I find film to be a perfect medium to create tangible records of community artwork and the architecture. This type of preservation is needed when these buildings are often demolished or the artwork is painted over. With over 90 locations documented, I hope to expand this project into other major cities as I travel and emmerse myself into new communities.
