JAWDHARI RESEARCH GROUP

Dr. Akram Jawdhari is currently an Assistant Professor at South Dakota State University (SDSU) and a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, Canada. His research interests cover a range of topics in Structural Engineering, with a primary focus on developing smart, cost-effective, and sustainable rehabilitation techniques for the aging infrastructure. He also specializes on computational mechanics and finite element techniques that can be used as cost-effective and efficient alternatives to otherwise costly and time consuming physical experiments.

The following are several of my current research projects:

Dr. Jawdhari has formed numerous collaborations with researchers from national and international institutes, including universities in USA (e.g. U of Kentucky, U of Ohio), Canada (e.g. U of Ottawa, Dalhousie U),  and Middle East (Iraq, Saudi Arabia)  and continues to welcome collaborations in research, applications to grants, co-supervision of students,  participation and contribution to scientific events.
