Everyone has experienced the instability that garden hoses undergo when the flow rate exceeds a certain value. In the left picture, we can observe a limit cycle once the instability develops. This process is called flutter but it is not that simple. By further increasing the flow rate, it exhibits chaotic behaviour. In the middle and right picture we can observe the trajectory of the tip after the secondary period doubling and pure chaotic behaviour, respectively. If you are interested in this phenomena, do not hesitate to have a look at our paper.
