So, the day has come! Happy to say that I am doctor now and that I was granted with the "Dean's award" for excellent research results presented in the dissertation thesis! :)
Many thanks again to my supervisors Fancesco de Bello and Carlos P. Carmona, and to the opponents Christina Richards (U. of Florida) and Tomáš Herben (Institute of Botany, Czech Academy of Sciences).
Looking forward to sharing some of my research at #BES2019 meeting!

Mycorrhizal symbiosis alleviates plant drought stress within and across plant generations via plasticity
Poster F1.8. - Soil Ecology and Plant-soil Interaction
We outline a novel method of experimental plant DNA demethylation for ecological epigenetic experiments. While the traditionally-used approach causes underdeveloped root systems and high mortality of treated plants, this new-one overcomes the unwanted effects while maintaining the demethylation efficiency. Also, we demonstrate its application for ecological epigenetic experiments. This novel method could be better suited for experimental studies seeking valuable insights into ecological epigenetics.
