Students

• My student Sergio Domingo is working on asymptotically rigid mapping class groups of manifolds. He will graduate in 2026. 

• My student Rodrigo de Pool succesfully defended his thesis on "Rigidity results for the  mapping class group"  in May 2025. He is now a postdoc at he University of Notre Dame. 

• My former graduate student Julio Aroca successfully defended his thesis "On Dehn's decision problems in generalized Thompson groups" in March 2021.  He is now an analyst at Banco Santander.

• My former graduate student Jesús Hernández successfully defended his thesis``Combinatorial rigidity for complexes of curves and multicurves" in May 2016. He is now a tenure-track researcher at UNAM Morelia.
