Students

• My student Sergio Domingo is working on asymptotically rigid mapping class groups of manifolds. He will graduate in 2026. 

• My student Rodrigo de Pool succesfully defended his thesis on "Rigidity results for the  mapping class group"  in May 2025. He will join the University of Notre Dame as a postdoctoral fellow in the summer of 2025. 

• My former graduate student Julio Aroca successfully defended his thesis "On Dehn's decision problems in generalized Thompson groups" on 26 March 2021. 

• My former graduate student Jesús Hernández successfully defended his thesis``Combinatorial rigidity for complexes of curves and multicurves" on 13 May 2016. He is now a tenure-track researcher at UNAM Morelia.
