My student Sergio Domingo is working on asymptotically rigid mapping class groups of manifolds. He will graduate in 2026.
My student Rodrigo de Pool succesfully defended his thesis on "Rigidity results for the mapping class group" in May 2025. He is now a postdoc at he University of Notre Dame. Rodrigo has been one of the 2026 Vicent Caselles Prize, awarded by FBBVA-RSME.
My former graduate student Julio Aroca successfully defended his thesis "On Dehn's decision problems in generalized Thompson groups" in March 2021. He is now an analyst at Banco Santander.
My former graduate student Jesús Hernández successfully defended his thesis``Combinatorial rigidity for complexes of curves and multicurves" in May 2016. He is now a permanent researcher at UNAM Morelia.
