I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the University of Alicante, supervised by Anna Sanz-de-Galdeano and Marco Bertoni. My research lies at the intersection of health economics, family economics, and applied microeconometrics, with a particular focus on how adverse health events affect household behavior, family stability, and long-term socioeconomic outcomes.
My work uses large-scale longitudinal datasets together with modern causal inference methods, including difference-in-differences (DiD), event-study designs, and machine learning approaches for heterogeneous treatment effects. I am especially interested in understanding how health shocks shape individual and household decisions across the life cycle.
I have been a visiting researcher at Università degli Studi di Padova working with Marco Bertoni and at Università degli Studi Roma Tor Vergata working with Daniela Vuri. I have also presented my research at international conferences and seminars, including the Sixth World Labor Conference hosted by Society of Labor Economists (SOLE), the American-European Health Economics Study Group IX, and the APPAM Fall Research Conference.
