Protecting free speech in an age of Google and political turmoil goes deeper than Lake Ontario or Lake America.
Jason Tanner has spent a large part of his career-to-date helping to create, maintain or strengthen the brands of the organisations he's had the pleasure to work for. These include the National Trust, BBC News, the former volunteering and training charity CSV, (Volunteering Matters) and Question One, the pub quiz & entertainments specialists.
The portfolio, on paper, seems very diverse but there are a couple of aspects that are common to his roles and they are communications and location. Both strands weave in and out of Jason's ongoing career whether broadcast news, defending free speech & democracy, promoting conservation & heritage, explaining London's global significance or the extraordinary impact of volunteers in the UK and beyond.
The solution was very simple in the end. The rights to use a speech bubble globe motif in perpetuity were bought by Jason as the backdrop of the design variations he developed amidst tight resources for the new charitable Defend Campaign to protect free speech.
The 'globe speech bubble motif' was sourced by Jason Tanner to reflect the geo-communications thread throughout all of his specialisms, career, campaigns and enterprises

The biggest evolution of the speech bubble globe concept was the Defend campaign for free speech. Defend's range of logos and straplines is explained in its own Branding & Logo Guidelines incorporating its Independent Digital News channel
