Objective: Analyze and interpret the planets to determine the properties of objects in the solar system, students will discuss the solar system to identify the planets and their properties.

Worksheet

This worksheet is to guide students identify the planets in the solar system. Students will match the planet based on its facts.

Instructions

Color planets, then cut the name labels and match them to the correct planet. Glue the labels down to the correct planet. Next, cut the boxes with the planets out and put the planets in order to create a book. When finishe, raise your hand and your book will be stapled together.

What you need

· Planets worksheet

· Paper plate

· Hole puncher

· Tape

· Scissors

· Colors

· Yarn

Steps

1. Color the planets on the planets worksheet

2. Cut the planets out

3. Grab your plate and hole punch 9 holes along the edge of the plate

4. Cut 10 strands of yarn

5. Tape one end of yarn to the planets

6. Tie the planets on the plate based on the solar system

7. Tape the last piece of yarn in the middle of the plate

Finally hold the middle yarn and you have a solar system!
