My name is Jared Poulsen, and I am from Boston Massachusetts. I grew up pretty active playing lots of sports, but the most fun I remember having was playing videogames with my friends after school. Whenever I had an idea that I felt would make a game better, I shared it with my friends and they agreed. This is what really got me into game design. Although I do appreciate the importance of, and possess a strong foundational understanding of code, I always had an artistic eye and preferred the game art end-product. I am also a huge nerd who loves superheroes, movies, cartoons, and anime. All of this contributes to my creative mind and eventually influenced me to look into game design. High school is when I really decided I wanted to follow game design as my career path, so I started looking into colleges that had game design programs, and am now a proud alumni of the Quinnipiac University game design and development program.
