Japanese Phrases
When exploring Japan, even a handful of Japanese phrases can open doors and warm hearts. Locals appreciate the effort, and you’ll find that a little language goes a long way. Before your first Japan trip, do about 3 months of Duolingo. Really makes a huge difference.
Tech Tip: Google Translate is a lifesaver — and widely accepted. Many Japanese people are used to travelers using it, especially in shops and restaurants. Use the photo translation feature to scan product labels in stores. It’s a quick way to check ingredients, allergens, or find out what’s inside that mysterious snack!
