About Me

Hello Families,

My name is JaNya Nelson, and I am excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year! I am originally from the small town of Battle Creek, Michigan. I attended Eastern Michigan University, Where i earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education. 

I am 23 years old and enjoy traveling to different states and countries whenever i have free time. I also love spending time with family, whether we are watching sports, playing games, or enjoying family dinners together. some of my favorite things include visiting museums, watching Grey's Anatomy, Disney movies, and Criminal minds.

I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and helping your child learn and grow this year. We are going to have a wonderful school year together!
