Conditions:
The team leader must be a paid JANN member.
At least one team member must be Jamaican.
The entry must be an original production.
The entry must incorporate Jamaican themes through visuals, music, language, or scenarios, etc.
One entry per team leader.
Judging Criteria:
Each production will be reviewed and assessed by international practitioners in the animation industry using this rubric.
They will determine the winners who will participate in the production incubator.
Shortlisted Participants
The team must videotape their pitch based on the proposal submitted to pitch their production. Productions that present information outside the scope of the proposal will be disqualified.
By participating in the pitch competition, the team grants JANN and its partners permission to use photos and videos from the event in their promotional materials.

The proposal document must include, but is not limited to, the following:
Name of the production.
Name of the team leader.
Genre.
The proposed market for distribution.
The target audience for the production.
State whether the production is an episodic, animated short, or feature-length animated film.
The merchandising plan (optional).
List of team members who will work on the production. One team member will be accepted, although not encouraged. Resumes with portfolios must be provided for each team member.
A realistic budget and quotations for workers, equipment, software, or any other items listed in the budget must be provided.
An explanation of a Jamaican problem being addressed and what makes the production uniquely Jamaican.
An explanation about why this story must be told.
A one-sentence logline.
A one-paragraph synopsis of the story.
Participants for the production incubator will be selected from the pitch competition.
The director will list approved team members who will attend each workshop.
At most, two members from each team are allowed to participate in the online workshops.
Unapproved attendance or unauthorised attendees will risk the production being disqualified from the production incubator.
All selected productions must be represented in all workshops. If the team has already produced the item to be created, they are to present it to the respective instructor for approval.
Non-attendance at the workshop will result in the team not being awarded prize money at the end of the incubator. To be eligible for the prize money at the end of the incubator, a valid excuse must be emailed to the instructor by the morning of the workshop.
By participating in the production incubator, the team grants JANN and its partners permission to use their workshop photos and videos for promotional purposes.
