I am a postdoctoral researcher at the KAIST AI-CRED Institute (AI Co-Research & Education for Innovative Drug). My research combines protein engineering and computational modeling to investigate the biological, chemical, and physical principles underlying biomolecular condensates. My current work focuses on understanding and harnessing the fundamental principles of liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) and self-assembly in biomolecular systems. Using protein engineering approaches, I investigate the mechanisms governing condensed-phase formation and the physicochemical properties of condensed phases, while developing machine-learning frameworks to predict phase-separation behavior.Â
More broadly, I aim to elucidate complex biological phenomena at the intersection of AI, chemistry, biology, and physics, with a interest in biosynthesis. My long-term goal is to leverage these interdisciplinary insights to advance disease diagnosis and therapeutic development and to build AI platforms that bridge fundamental science and clinical applications.
