We initially chose Janet's in order to give our mother a home environment, and the warm and compassionate care that she has received over the years has certainly provided her with a "home." Although Alzheimer's had rendered our mother unable to care for herself alone, she was still quite physically active when she arrived at Janet's. Her abilities were encouraged and Janet and her staff got to know and appreciate her personality.

As the years went by, any issues concerning her health were handled with the utmost professionalism. Unfortunately, our mother recently suffered a stroke and required more care than previously. There was no question where she would go after leaving the hospital...home to Janet's."

"I looked at almost all the board and care homes in San Francisco in February 2009 for my father. Janet's Residential Facility was the nicest by far. It is in a wonderful neighborhood. The house is modern, large, spacious and very light and warm. The rooms are large and well-appointed. Janet, the owner, is an R.N. and very knowledgeable. Her staff is amazingly attentive and caring. Janet's facility was levels above the other facilities I inspected."

"Having to place a loved one into an assisted living facility is a difficult situation. There is a certain amount of guilt to this decision. I wanted to find a small facility where a person would not feel like a guest but a member of a new functional family. The owner/proprietor and her staff deeply care for each client with patience and kindness. They make sure each person is safe and secure. My loved one is well-taken care of and is happy in her new environment. I am without guilt and forever thankful for this outstanding facility"

All the residents were always in view of the caretakers. Janet loved my mother and my mother trusted her.
