My love for interior decorating started when I was a young girl.....
...... helping my dad renovate homes. My sisters and I spent hours peeling wallpaper — a task that felt like a chore at the time but sparked my appreciation for how a little bit of work can transform spaces. As I got older, I began choosing flooring, carpets, and other finishes, learning how the smallest details could breathe new life into a home.
Growing up, my parents — both raised on farms — instilled in me the value of making the most of what you have. Nothing went to waste. As a young girl I would take wooden furniture that would have otherwise been thrown away and I would sand and paint it to bring new life to something old.
Having graduated as an environmental engineer, the values of reuse, repurpose and upcycling are engrained in who I am and influence my design philosophy today. There's something special about repurposing an old piece — preserving its story while giving it a fresh start. That feeling of transformation and renewal is what I strive to bring to every project.
Together with my husband, a craftsman and builder of things, we have transformed our dated house into a space we love to come home to. Whether through upcycled finds or curated new pieces, I love creating spaces that feel both lovable and livable — where every piece has purpose and beauty.
