With regard to budgets, I have a fixed amount ($2,000) that I want to stay under for tax purposes. So I am making very deliberate decisions about how I solicit and spend those funds. I am an average San Marino family; we didn’t plan for financing a campaign when we made our 2018 budget, so I am exercising restraint and prioritizing my spending. And though donors have been generous in giving monetary and non-monetary contributions, it is still not my money to spend, so I am being financially conservative.
