It has been a very surreal experience to be a candidate in an official election. Seeing my name on an actual ballot is like a dream. People have been so kind and supportive today, wishing me luck and telling me they voted. It certainly means a lot more to me than the last time I ran for office...11th Grade high school Class Vice President. 😝
I have been so humbled by this experience. We chose to live in San Marino because of the community spirit and never have I been so keenly aware and appreciative of that spirit as I have been these last few months. San Marino is a special city and I am proud to be part of its history in this election. I hope my campaign has encouraged you to be involved in our schools and community. I hope you have met more people who inspire you to support our schools and city. I trust this city and know this election will bring about unity of purpose and hope for the future of our schools and community. Thank you, San Marino.

作為一位聖瑪利諾學區教育委員會的候選人，我承諾將致力於幫助學區的學生提供最好的教育。在與其他教委和學區的管理層的共同合作下，我們將評估所有以往的政策，繼續在以往的佳績上力爭超越，來保障我們的學生有一個全面的，均衡的高品質教育。我們需要與社區和學校合作，一同努力設立對我們學生最有益的教育願景和首要教育規劃。
教學是聖瑪利諾所有學校的核心。所有課程都應該被嚴格審核和加以適當調整來確保符合學生們的需求和興趣。聖瑪利諾的學生們面對著巨大的渴望成功的壓力。我們的學校需要創造一個有挑戰性，同時又很人性化的學習環境，幫助學生們在多個層面上找到成功。教育在過去的20年裡有著翻天覆地的變化。隨著新科技的誕生和職場上越來越高的僱員要求，我們的學生需要面對這一系列的課堂以外的新挑戰。以這些變化和挑戰為目標的情況下，我們的教學必須更進一步考量我們的課程規劃和教學方式來激發孩子們的最佳學習潛力。我們需要將課程統一來規劃和完善。我們的教師，作為重要的合作夥伴，需要接受更多的培訓和輔助來實現這些課程規劃。如果學生們在學習的過程中可以受到啟發，把所學的知識能夠舉一反三地運用到現實世界的層面，這將為他們高中畢業後面臨的挑戰做好準備。
我們的學區需要負責和管理我們的資源和資產。教委會需要評估如何分配資金來保證學生們在一個安全和適當的環境裡學習。我們的社區長期以來一直慷慨地通過特殊稅收和捐贈來支持我們學校。而學區也必須尋找其他的資金來源來資助學校。我們必須以務實和創新的方式考量和決定怎樣才能滿足各所學校的財物需求，以便讓我們的學生們能夠有機會接觸到更廣泛的學術和課外興趣課程，進而激發學生們的潛力和對學習的熱情。
為了實現這些目標，教委會和學區必須組成一支強大的團隊來支持學生的學習。同時，教委會必須與其服務的社區密切協作來確保一個有透明度的問責制度和良好溝通。教委會的理事們必須支持學校的管理層，老師，和校內員工們的想法，因為他們是最了解和理解學生們每天經歷的人。他們會優先考慮到學生們每天到需求。一所學校的文化將體現在該學校的管理層。有良好的合作精神，勤奮，和聰明的領導者將帶領和激勵他／她的員工和學生們一同做出最好的表現和成績。同心協力加上創新的領導力將成為學生的榜樣，讓他們在工作和學習上能夠盡最大潛力去完成目標。
所有學區和教委會的決定都必須明朗化。我們必須保證和維持坦誠開放的溝通方式，才能一起找出社區和學校裡的問題和解決方案。我們每個人都有相同的目標──支持孩子成為最好的。只有通過共享信息，花時間去一同努力，共同互動，我們才能瞭解什麼是我們社區最需要的，進而努力使這些願景成為現實。聖瑪利諾學區一向都是一個大家互相幫忙和睦的社區，不管是各項籌款活動，比如高中的畢業之夜，小學的嘉年華，還是義務在教室內的幫忙。每一個活動都贏得一次次的成功，和一次次的超越！通過良好的溝通和團隊合作，我們可以實現更多的願景，繼而強大我們的社區。
我的願景是自己能有機會與家長，學校，和學生們一起來建設和塑造我們的學區和社區。一直以來我都驚訝於我們聖瑪利諾學區學生的智慧，熱情，和豐富的想像力。而為我們的學生們建立一個能幫助實現目標的社區平台，我們責無旁貸！只有通過相互信任與支持，我們才能共同培育為美好未來做好充分準備的健康，樂觀，成功的孩子們。請投我一票當選聖瑪利諾學區的教委。由衷感謝大家的支持！

As your governing board member, I will work with the community of San Marino to provide a meaningful, comprehensive, and balanced education in San Marino schools. San Marino schools have provided thousands of students with a high-quality public education. I believe in supporting these successful strategies while finding ways to be more effective, creative and collaborative. Through talking with our students, parents, teachers, school leaders and residents, I hope to find ways to establish trust and build relationships that will inform our Board to make decisions in the best interests of our students.
The San Marino School Board is responsible for setting policy and providing vision and leadership to our school leaders. The San Marino School Board of Education needs to develop a strategic and realistic plan to educate our bright, talented and hardworking students within our financial means and through seeking additional funding sources that are not overly burdensome on San Marino families. Our district needs to keep working to provide students with the support and tools they need to achieve their goals. I look forward to working with the community of San Marino. I am confident of the work that can be accomplished together when we put our students first.
