Sentence Fragments Are:
§ Sentences that are multi-word phrases that are similar to sentences, but they lack a complete thought
§ They begin with a capital letter and end with punctuation, but in reality they are a dependent clause (aka subordinate clause)
§ For a sentence to be complete it must have at least one independent clause
§ Independent clauses are groups of words that contain a subject, and a verb and they express a complete thought.
A fragment may not have a subject, a verb or both.
