We are primarily interested in experimental synthesis of multifunctional materials. Our research focus is on materials (noble metal, non-noble metal, semiconductor) design, synthesis, characterization, structure-function relatonship and applications. Fundamental plasmonic and optoelectronic properties of these low dimensional materials in their nano/micro/bulk form and their applications in sending, Photovoltaics, nanocatalysis, and LEDs is actively investigated. Our research work is highly interdisciplinary with skill set requirements from synthetic chemistry, Physics, and applied materials.
Our major objectives are to surpass the physical and chemical challenges posed by these materials. Through rational design, synthesis, and characterization we aim to integrate/self-assemble the fabricated materials into multimodal solid state superstructures. Collectively, our experimental efforts would ultimately provide viable routes towards multifunctional materials for applications in energy and environment.
Applications are invited from interested post-doctoral fellows, motivated Ph.D. students (please see advertisements below for further details). Open positions for short term project staffs will be posted here. Students interested in pursuing their internship or master thesis project may directly contact me by email.
