Janae has been playing piano for 17 years. She began taking piano lessons at age eight at Art City Music Academy in Springville, Utah. She studied under the direction of Tara Ellingford. She started teaching and accompanying during high school.

Janae received her Bachelors in Music from BYU-Idaho in December of 2024. There she accompanied groups and soloists, taught students through the piano teaching classes, and performed at various recitals, including her junior recital. Her piano instructor was Dr Jessica Gibbons.

Janae is a member of MTNA: Music Teachers National Association. As a part of this group, she continues to learn more effective ways to teach her students. In her free time, Janae loves to read, cross-stitch, bake, do zumba, and hangout with friends/family. She lives in Payson, Utah, with her husband and her little girl.
