The 43rd Regiment of Foot is an active Revolutionary War Reenactment Regiment in PA, DE, and NJ. They can be found at events in Valley Forge, PA, Brandywine, and frequently join other Regiments in large scale skirmishes followed by educational encampments where they actively engage with the public deftly combining history and storytelling.
I was a tailor for the regiment for many years, combining machine and hand sewing techniques to faithfully recreate both British and American uniform jackets, wescots, and breeches. Based on the detailed research by reknowned artificer Henry Cooke, I stitched countless buttonholes, lace, and other historical details for members of the regiment taking time to custom fit and alter pieces as needed.
