Thank you to everyone on the Stoke Golding Community Facebook Page that let us use their photos.
At the end of Station Road there is a canal called The Ashby Canal. Near and on Ashby Canal there is lots of wildlife and people go fishing. The canal snakes around the village. Part of the canal is called "The Bath Piece" and this is where you can see lots of ducks and swans.
Wild life is very important and when we feed ducks we should not give them bread because too much of bread will make them bloated and make them sink and die.
Colli Bob has a YouTube channel where you can watch some videos of animals he has caught on his wildlife camera. We have asked for our own camera for Christmas!
We have found some feathers on the a walk and Colli Bob gave us some too. Here is a picture to share the feathers with you.
Colli Bob found some Owl Pellets for us. We dissected them to find out what the Owl has been eating. We used a chart to identify the skulls. The Owl has mainly been eating shrews and mice.
We have badgers in our garden and sometimes they even come up to our front door for a sniff around!
