Hello! I am a 3rd Year Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of Florida. My major field is American Politics with a focus on race and ethnic politics. Currently trained in quantitative data analysis using RStudio and Excel.

My research examines how social hierarchies, institutional power, and representation shape political participation, democratic inclusion, and policy outcomes for Black communities and other marginalized groups. Recent work employs ecological regression on aggregated precinct data to analyze patterns of voter turnout. 

My academic background spans a B.A. and M.A. in Political Science from Florida Atlantic University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Graduate Dean's Fellowship. 

At the University of Florida, I am currently funded by the Button Scholarship Award for research focused on race relations, poverty, and diversity issues. I recently received the Dr. Rolda Louise Darlington Memorial Award, which was created to provide support for students whose research honors her legacy. Rolda's research examined African American politics, the politics of women of color, and minority political/public policy issues.
