The pre-production of this game was split into two main parts, the documentation and level design. The documentation was of the main gameplay, scrum standup sheet, and trello. The level design was for some of the rooms the player would be playing in. Image to the left is early level design mock ups.
During production of the game, some core elements of the games were changed several times to try and see what worked and this was mainly around the core mechanics "Augments" and "Synergies". These changes in design where handled quickly and smoothly with no issues to come from the change overs. The final versions in the game ended up with the "Augments" becoming the ammunition the player used, while the "Synergies" became buffs to specific types of ammunition.
The final product is something our team was quite proud. The gameplay turned out really well with all the core mechanics working extremely well together to create a fun experience.
