I looked at Abby's lesson, and I like how the lesson gives a hands-on example to allow the students to learn how to socialize well. In a larger picture, it can allow them to improve their communication and work together better, a staple in STEM environments. 

Ways to add to the lesson:

• To add to their communication skill, each group can make a group bracelet. This will help the group find something common among them and help them learn to work together.

• A casual discussion should certainly take place, as I personally feel that makes the kids comfortable with each other. It will also sum up the lesson and tell the teacher if they learned something.
