In 2026, the JAIBS will hold its 77th conference at Taisho University. Members are encouraged to present their research.
Details regarding application (for individual presentations, panel presentations, and attendance), deadlines, attendance fee payment methods, and other information will be posted on the association's website (https://www.jaibs.jp/) and on the host university's website (https://sites.google.com/view/jaibs77taisho) in late January 2026. The subsequent circulars will “not” be sent via email, and you are kindly requested to visit these websites to reach the latest information.

Special Session: A special session will be held on the conference theme: “The History and Future of the Tripiṭaka: Commemorating the Inscription of the Three Editions of Buddhist Sacred Canons Stored at Zojoji, the Chief Temple of the Jodo-Buddhist Sect, on UNESCO's Memory of the World.” If you would like to present as
part of this special session, please indicate this on the online application form.
