"The Salvadoran Diaspora"

The "Salvadoran Diaspora" series highlights how U.S. interference displaced her family and how it further challenged their own understanding of being a Salvadoran. The U.S-Mexico southern border is often painted on the shoulders of her family members to differentiate who in the family migrated to the U.S. and who did not. She utilize bright colors and characterization to initially entice the audience to look deeper into the symbolism and motifs she uses throughout her paintings.
