Jagdish Prasad Sahoo is actively involved in teaching, research and consultancy in the field of geotechnical engineering. His research focuses on the stability evaluation of foundations, anchors, embankments, slopes, tunnels, reinforced earth structures (geosynthetics, nailing), Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs) under static and dynamic loading conditions, strength and deformation behaviour of soil and rock mass, and geotechnical aspects of pavement engineering through analytical, numerical and experimental modelling.
