Faculty (Jaeyoung Choi)

I am currently an associate professor in the School of Computing (AI-Software), Gachon University, Korea. Before joining this, I was an assistant professor in the Department of Automotive Engineering, Honam University, Korea. I received Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from KAIST in 2018, under the supervision of Prof. Yung Yi  at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, Republic of Korea. I received M.S. and B.S. in Mathematics from Korea University in 2008 and 2013, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Bong Dae Choi

I’m interested in understanding fundamental phenomenon based on theoretical model and analysis, where my research lies at the intersection of applied mathematics and network systems including large scale network, social network, and probabilistic graphical model. Currently, my major focus is fundamental network inference models with social interactions such as information source detection and graph connectivity learning.
