About Me:

Recently, I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a PhD in Data Science. I hold a M.S in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Economics and Actuarial Science from Michigan State University.

Research:

Utilizing modern machine learning techniques to perform sophisticated research and make informed decisions in a wide spectrum of studies is my central focus. Currently, my research focuses on natural language processing and predictive modeling within intelligent systems. These machine learning techniques provide the mechanism to develop dynamic feedback for students and the automation of the grading process. More specifically, my work has focused on bridging the gap between structured problems, such as multiple choice or fill in the blank, and open response problems in mathematics by developing predictive models to automatically grade student open responses and suggest responses to teachers. Additionally, this work has expanded to exploring potential bias within the predictive models and a multitude of randomized control trials.
